FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What makes a vanity unit traditional compared to your modern ranges?
▼
Traditional design is all about the fine furniture details. This includes classic shaker-style panelling, elegant moulded plinths, and a grounded, freestanding presence. We often finish these units in timeless, earthy tones or rich natural wood grains like Walnut. While the exterior looks like a bespoke piece of period furniture, the interior features the latest Blum BLUMOTION soft-close hardware, giving you the best of both worlds: heritage style and modern performance.
Are these units made from real wood or MDF?
▼
We never use standard MDF for our traditional units because it simply doesn't last in a damp environment. Instead, we use a combination of marine-grade solid wood and real wood veneers. This professional-grade construction is naturally moisture-resistant and provides the structural weight and "solid" feel you expect from high-end traditional furniture. It ensures your vanity remains a centerpiece of your bathroom for decades, not just years.
Which basins work best with a traditional vanity unit?
▼
While these units look stunning with a classic white ceramic sink, many of our customers pair them with our natural stone or marble countertop basins to create an "Elevated Traditional" look. The raw, organic texture of a Travertine or Marble basin softens the structured lines of the cabinetry, creating a bathroom that feels warm, established, and incredibly luxurious.
