Countertop basins for a calm, considered bathroom

Unlike a built-in basin, a countertop basin sits fully above the surface. Every detail, the stone, the finish and the form, is part of the room, which means the piece you choose has a direct and lasting effect on how the whole bathroom looks and feels.

Our countertop basins are hand-finished from natural stone, marble or stone, and made to look as good as the room you build around them.

The marble pieces are where the collection's character sits. Carrara brings a soft, classical brightness; Travertine adds warmth and texture; Pietra Grey and Arabescato carry deeper, more dramatic veining for bathrooms where the basin is the centrepiece of the design; Panda has bold black and white markings that naturally draw the eye. Our stone designs come in matte white, matte black, sage and slate, with a smooth, even finish suited to bathrooms with a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic.

Match a marble basin to a wooden vanity unit for warmth and contrast, or set a stone basin on a basin shelf for a lighter, floating look. Once the basin is chosen, the rest of the bathroom takes shape.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why should I choose a Haddon countertop basin for my bathroom?

A countertop basin sits fully above the surface, which means the material, the finish and the form are all visible and become a deliberate part of the room. It works particularly well on a vanity unit or basin shelf, where the combination of the two creates a considered, cohesive look that gives the bathroom a calm and enduring sense of refinement. Each basin is hand-finished from stone resin, natural marble or Travertine, and designed to hold its appearance and character as a permanent part of the space.

Are Haddon countertop basins built to last?

Our countertop basins are solid all the way through, which makes them naturally resistant to chips and daily wear without any compromise to the surface or finish over time. The material handles changes in water temperature well and is built to maintain its appearance with regular, straightforward care.

How easy is it to install a countertop basin?

Our countertop basins are designed to be straightforward for a professional to fit. Sitting directly on top of the vanity unit or basin shelf, they require a standard hole for the waste and a bead of silicone to seal the base. No complex cutting or fitting is needed, making installation a clean and simple process for any experienced tradesperson.

What is the best way to clean and maintain a stone countertop basin?

Our stone basins are non-porous and straightforward to care for. A soft damp cloth with a mild detergent is all that is needed for day to day cleaning. Drying the basin after use helps prevent any mineral deposits from building up and keeps the surface looking its best over time.

How do I choose the right taps for a countertop basin?

A countertop basin works well with either deck mounted or wall mounted taps, and the choice comes down to the feel you want for the room. A tall deck mounted mixer sits naturally on the basin itself for a classic, considered look. Wall mounted taps keep the surface clear and suit a more minimal bathroom. To bring the overall design together, pairing the tap finish with a matching Haddon unslotted click clack waste gives the basin a cohesive, finished look. Most of our countertop designs do not include an overflow, so an unslotted waste is the right practical choice.
