How much space do I actually need for a double vanity unit?

To ensure the room still feels spacious, we recommend a minimum width of 1200mm, though our grandest double units reach up to 1600mm. Beyond the unit itself, you should plan for at least 150mm of breathing room on either side to allow for easy cleaning and to ensure the drawers can glide open fully. A double vanity is a significant piece of furniture, so it works best in master bathrooms where it can act as the primary design focal point.
Are these vanity units strong enough to hold two heavy stone basins?

Absolutely. We know that two stone or marble basins plus a countertop can be incredibly heavy, which is why we never use standard MDF. Instead, we build our double units with marine-grade plywood and solid wood frameworks. This professional-grade construction provides the structural rigidity needed to support several hundred kilograms without the risk of bowing or sagging over time, ensuring your investment is built to stand the test of time.
Do I need special plumbing for a double vanity setup?

You will need a dual plumbing configuration, meaning two sets of hot and cold water feeds and two separate wastes. However, because our units are supplied fully assembled, there is plenty of internal space for your plumber to hide the pipework neatly behind the drawers. This keeps the look clean and minimalist while providing all the functional benefits of two fully independent washing stations.
