FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is the difference between your Avant and Otley shower screen collections?
While both ranges are built to the same high engineering standards, the difference lies in the aesthetic finish. Our Otley collection is perfect for those seeking a modern, textured look, featuring beautiful Reeded (fluted) glass that provides an extra layer of privacy while still letting light dance through the bathroom. The Avant range, on the other hand, focuses on timeless clarity with high-quality clear glass panels. Both collections are available in a variety of frame finishes, including Brushed Gold and Matte Black, to suit your specific design vision.
Are walk-in shower screens practical for containing water in a smaller bathroom?
Absolutely. Walk-in screens are a brilliant way to make a smaller bathroom feel much larger by removing the visual break of a traditional door or frame. Our walk-in kits are designed to be used with a low-profile tray or a tiled wet-room floor, and they are highly effective at containing spray. If you are concerned about water splashing in a more compact space, we often recommend our Kit B configuration, which includes a return panel. This clever addition helps to pivot and deflect water back into the showering area without compromising that sleek, open-access "spa" feel.
Why should I choose Reeded Glass for my shower screen?
Reeded or fluted glass is one of our most popular choices because it offers a perfect blend of style and function. From a design perspective, the vertical grooves add a stunning architectural texture to the room, fitting perfectly into both "Art Deco" and modern industrial styles. Practically, the textured surface is excellent for obscuring water spots and fingerprints, meaning it looks cleaner for longer than standard clear glass. It also provides a level of privacy during your shower while still maintaining a bright, airy atmosphere, making it a sophisticated and practical upgrade for any luxury bathroom.
