FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What makes Haddon’s toughened glass the right choice for my enclosure?
We’ve specifically engineered our Avant and Otley ranges using 8mm toughened safety glass because it offers the perfect balance of high-end durability and elegant design. While thinner glass can feel flimsy, our 8mm panels provide a solid, premium feel underfoot and within the frame without being excessively heavy. This makes them safer and easier to install while still delivering that robust, high-quality thud when you interact with the screen. It’s a professional-grade choice that ensures your bathroom feels like a luxury sanctuary that's built to last for years.
Does Haddon's shower glass come with a protective coating to help with cleaning?
Yes, our glass is designed with a high-performance, easy-clean surface that acts as a protective shield against the elements. This invisible barrier is hydrophobic, meaning it repels water, soap suds, and limescale, preventing them from bonding to the glass. Instead of leaving behind those frustrating streaks and white mineral deposits common in hard water areas, the water simply beads up and rolls away. This means you spend much less time scrubbing with harsh chemicals and more time enjoying your shower, keeping your enclosure looking crystal clear with just a quick, occasional wipe.
What is the difference between your 'Kit A' and 'Kit B' walk-in enclosures?
Our Walk-in Kits are designed to simplify the buying process by providing a complete, curated solution. Kit A typically features a single, high-quality glass screen and a low-profile tray, perfect for a sleek, open-ended wet room look. Kit B is our more comprehensive setup, usually including an additional return panel or side screen to create a more enclosed showering area while maintaining that spacious, walk-in feel. Both kits come with our signature brassware fixings in finishes like Brushed Gold, Brushed Stainless, Chrome or Matte Black, ensuring your entire enclosure is perfectly colour-matched and ready for a seamless installation.
