FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why should I choose a freestanding basin for my bathroom?
A pedestal or freestanding basin stands freely from the floor on its own base, giving the bathroom a grounded, classical presence that suits both traditional and more contemporary spaces. The column beneath the basin neatly conceals the plumbing, keeping the overall look tidy and considered without the need for a vanity unit or wall fixing. It is a straightforward, lasting choice for anyone who wants the basin to stand as a natural focal point in the room.
What materials are Haddon freestanding basins made from?
Our freestanding basins are crafted from either stone or natural marble. Stone basins are made from a blend of natural dolomite and resin, giving each piece a solid, non-porous surface that holds its finish and form over time. Our marble pedestal basins are cut from genuine natural stone, with each piece carrying its own natural veining and tonal variation that makes it entirely individual.
Are freestanding basins a good fit for small cloakrooms?
Yes, a freestanding basin takes up less floor space than a vanity unit, which makes it a practical choice for smaller bathrooms and cloakrooms where space is limited. Our collection includes compact options from 400mm, giving you a well-proportioned, hand-finished basin that sits comfortably even in a tighter space without compromising on quality or finish.
