FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the main benefits of choosing a freestanding vanity unit over wall hung vanity unit?
t’s all about the "wow" factor and storage capacity. Our freestanding vanity units offer deeper cabinets and reach further down toward the floor, giving you the most storage space possible for towels and toiletries. They have a classic, furniture-like presence that anchors a room. Practically, they are also a great choice if you have a tiled wall you'd rather not drill into or if your walls aren't quite strong enough to support the weight of a heavy wall hung vanity unit.
Do you offer freestanding units that can accommodate double basins?
Yes, we do! If you’re designing a larger family bathroom or a master suite, our grander freestanding units like the Wentworth and Cobham are available in widths up to 1600mm. These are specifically engineered for double "his and hers" countertop basins, providing a massive amount of surface area and dual storage sections so everyone has their own dedicated space.
Are freestanding vanity units easy to keep clean around the base?
We’ve designed our units with maintenance in mind. Many of our freestanding styles feature elegant legs or recessed plinths that allow for easy cleaning underneath or around the edges. Because we use marine-grade solid wood and professional-grade finishes, the base of the unit is well-protected against the moisture and splashes that occur during routine floor cleaning. They are built to be as practical as they are beautiful.
What materials do we use to ensure the furniture lasts in a damp bathroom?
Our frameworks are constructed from marine-grade solid wood and real wood veneers like Oak, Cedar, and Walnut. For our painted units, we use high-spec finishes that are incredibly durable and steam-resistant.
Does the freestanding vanity unit come in pieces or is it already built?
We believe a luxury piece of furniture should arrive ready to enjoy, so every one of our freestanding vanity units is supplied fully assembled as standard. We do this to ensure the structural integrity is perfect and that our Blum soft-close drawers are precisely aligned right out of the box. This makes the installation process much faster for you and your plumber, simply move it into position and you're ready to go.
