FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What defines modern baths compared to traditional designs?
Modern baths are distinguished by clean lines, minimalist style, and contemporary design features that emphasise form as much as function. Where traditional tubs often focus on ornate detail, modern freestanding baths highlight proportion, finish, and comfort – giving your bathroom a sleek, luxury aesthetic.
How eco-friendly are your modern freestanding baths?
Sustainability is considered in both materials and longevity. Acrylic baths are lightweight and environmentally friendly to transport, while stone finish baths offer durability that reduces the need for replacement. By combining eco-conscious materials with designs that stand the test of time, our contemporary freestanding baths align comfort with responsibility.
What accessories best complement a modern bath design?
Minimalist accessories work beautifully with contemporary tubs. Choose slimline mirrors, discreet shelving, and sleek fixtures that echo the bath’s finish. For contrast, a bold metallic or textured accessory can introduce depth while keeping the overall bathroom aesthetic cohesive.
Do your modern freestanding bathtubs require special installation?
Freestanding tub installation is straightforward but does need planning. Plumbing installation and access routes should be checked in advance. Acrylic designs are easier to manoeuvre, while stone baths may require additional support. Our team can advise on the best approach to ensure your modern bath is fitted seamlessly into your bathroom renovation.
Do contemporary freestanding baths work in small bathrooms?
Of course, many of our designs start at 1400mm, meaning even compact bathrooms can enjoy the impact of a freestanding centrepiece. Choosing slimmer profiles or lighter finishes like polished or matte white helps the bath feel proportionate while still delivering a striking, modern presence.
Can modern baths work in period or character homes?
Yes, a modern freestanding bath can provide striking contrast within a traditional or period home. By pairing contemporary design with heritage architecture, the bath becomes both a functional fixture and a statement of modern luxury that enhances the character of the room.
